We are seeking a skilled **Civil Works Foreman** to oversee the construction of **storm and drainage systems**, including **precast manhole installations, catch basins, subdrains, and surface grading** on large-scale infrastructure and site development projects.
**Scope of Work**
- Supervise the installation of **PVC storm mains, subdrains, and manhole structures** to municipal and engineering specifications.
- Oversee **precast manhole installation**, including:
- Setting **1050 mm 4-way precast bases** with 300 mm PVC boots and plugs
- Aligning bases to design inverts and elevations
- Installing risers, eccentric cones, and frame assemblies
- Ensuring **benched inverts** and watertight joints (Ram-Nek or O-ring)
- Manage installation of **catch basins, beehive inlets, and flow restrictors**, verifying elevations and slopes.
- Confirm **pipe slopes, alignments, and compaction** of trench backfill (minimum 95% Modified Proctor).
- Direct grading operations to achieve **final subgrade and topsoil depths** for proper site drainage and runoff control.
- Coordinate with survey and testing teams for **elevation verification and density testing**.
- Maintain compliance with **CSA, MMCD, and WorkSafe BC** standards for materials, compaction, and safety.
- Perform final walk-downs to verify elevation accuracy, manhole alignment, and surface drainage performance.
**Requirements**:
- **5+ years’ experience** in civil or municipal drainage and infrastructure construction
- Proven background installing **storm mains, manholes, and drainage systems**:
- Proficiency in **grade checking, laser setup, and pipe alignment**:
- Strong ability to **read and interpret civil drawings, plans, and profiles**:
- Experience leading **field crews and coordinating heavy equipment operations**:
- Working knowledge of **CSA A257 precast standards and municipal specifications**:
- Valid **Class 5 driver’s license**
