D. Alex Macdonald Ford, part of the MacDonald Automotive Group, is looking for a motivated and team-oriented Sales Manager to join our growing team. The position involves managing the sales department to ensure that customer needs are met, as well as planning, organizing and overseeing the activities of the New and Used sales departments and measuring the performance of employees within the department.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Monitoring the showroom and overseeing customer service.
- Managing department finances, inventory, branding and prospecting.
- Recruiting, hiring and training a team of automotive Sales Consultants.
- Setting sales goals, tracking progress and leading the team to achieve and exceed quotas.
- Coaching Sales Consultants on best practices for closing more vehicle deals and providing advice and guidance to improve sales performance.
- Forecasting sales for upcoming months and quarters.
- Stepping in to answer customer questions and to resolve issues as required.
- Coordinating and leading regular sales meetings with staff.
- Managing the department's use of a CRM platform to retain customers and seek out prospective new sales.
- Maintaining a strong focus on the satisfaction of all customers.
- Compiling regular reports for dealership management to review.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Strong background in sales, business and/or marketing an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in a sales or management role at a dealership an asset.
- Ability to follow processes and directions.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Outgoing personality with the ability to develop relationships quickly.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks on a daily basis.
- A desire to succeed and to exceed set targets.
- Proven knowledge of effective sales strategies and best practices.
- Substantial track record of exceeding sales quotas and goals.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control and management.
- Strong computer skills.
- Personal commitment to a career in the automotive industry.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.

Base Salary - $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 depending on experience with total compensation anticipated $90,000.00 to $130,000.00.
