Railway Construction Inspector

AECOM GTA is looking for a Railway Construction Inspector, to work on a client site based in King City, ON.

**Workday Job Description**:
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
Performs a variety of tasks in support of Contract and Construction administration and compliance to Contract Documents for construction activities.

Be resident at the place of work and work independently under the general direction of Contract Administrator.

Perform quality assurance and quality control functions to confirm Contractor’s adherence to Contract Documents.

Performs inspection of engineering installations for compliance with specifications; maintaining project documentation.

Track changes in field to ensure completion of as-constructed drawings.

Prepare daily and weekly project progress reports documenting construction activities, environmental events, record progress, as-constructed details and other activities as applicable.

Monitor Contractor’s adherence to Drawings and Specifications and environmental obligations in accordance with Contract documents.

Measure quantities for completed field work as required.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor Degree in engineering + 2 years relevant experience in the inspection of heavy civil work OR Technical Diploma + 4 years relevant experience OR Highschool + 6 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in construction of transit facilities and working in rail right-of -way is an asset.

Demonstrated experience in supervision of construction sites, field engineering, site inspections and taking measurements of work.

Demonstrated experience in design, engineering and construction of projects is an asset.

Class 1 Railway experience is an asset

CET ON is an asset
