**Job Summary (MUST LIVE WITHIN 1 HOUR FROM PONOKA)**:
We are seeking an Operations Foreman to join our Field Leadership Team. This position requires a self-motivated individual to be a part of our day to day to field and plant operations. The Operations Foreman directly oversees and support the operation of our CO2 recovery plant and distribution system, CO2 EOR fields and some conventional production. This position drives field operations and regulatory improvements and is expected to handle most routine problems independently.
Reporting to the VP Operations the main responsibilities include:
- Responsible to support, schedule and supervise a team of qualified operators.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including production, safety and regulatory procedures.
- Must have training and understanding of H2S risks and safety procedures
- Maintain and enhance field production using skills, knowledge, experience with a strong commitment to teamwork and communication.
- Responsible to keep equipment and facilities operating at maximum efficiency with minimum down time in a safe and cost effective manner.
- Identify, develop/collaborate and execute approved optimization opportunities.
- Assist in planning and execution of field and facility projects.
- Provide input and support on facility optimization and gathering system modification projects
- Ensure prompt and accurate reporting of production/fuel/flaring/venting data. (Including trucked volumes.)
- Work effectively with Production Accounting staff to ensure accuracy in PVR and provide accurate information about flow and meter questions and issues as they may arise
- Ensure all regulatory requirements are being met and documented.
- Maintain continuous understanding of operating costs and key cost drivers and support cost saving initiatives
- Monitor and approve invoicing (through Open Invoice) to ensure accuracy and prompt payment to vendors.
- Liaise with service providers and provide support to maintenance crews as needed
- Order and track parts and fittings for projects and code and approve invoices.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience with CO2 process systems and complications is highly beneficial.
- Extensive experience in high pressure production systems or hydrate prone systems is considered a suitable proxy.
- Knowledge of Plant processes including compression, refrigeration & stabilization.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement
- Strong aptitude for failure analysis tracking, understanding, and mitigating failure mechanisms.
- Thorough knowledge of gathering system and isolation points.
- Thorough working knowledge of all plant and field equipment and its functions.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Positive attitude and strong sense of team commitment.
- Leadership, skill developement and mentoring for field operators.
- Strong communication.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Positive attitude.
- Ability to be open minded and thinking “outside the box” is an asset.
Required Experience:
- Front Line Operations Leadership: 10 years (required)
- Foreman or senior operations position: 5 years
Qualifications:
- Experience with CO2 process systems and complications is highly beneficial.
- Extensive experience in high pressure production systems or hydrate prone systems is considered a suitable proxy.
- Additional training such as production technology, steam qualification or ticket or training or certification as a heavy duty mechanic would be considered an asset
- Appropriate industry certifications including H2S Alive and First Aid
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Additional training such as production technology, steam qualification or ticket or training or certification as a heavy duty mechanic would be considered an asset
- Good computer skills.
- Familiar with excel and word programs, Power BI, PVR, Zedi, Abadata, SCADA

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
