**GENERAL SUMMARY**: The Depot Manager will promote leadership in the area of Safety Performance. This role will also be responsible for ensuring that appropriate resources are available to all staff to achieve corporate safety and operational goals. This role will develop and maintain an effective team and organizational structure to maximize customer satisfaction and profits, design and lead long term improvement plans, and also manage team development.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Ensuring the product received from the plant is correct as per SKU and quantity and that** **product which does not meet Quality Standards, is segregated to avoid shipping to our customers. The defect is communicated to the plant production team leader, the shipping team leader, and the plant accountant.
- Ensure the receiving data is entered correctly.
- Ensure the Depot is stocked with adequate quantities of inventory to meet sales projections.
- Maintain policy and efficiency by ensuring proper placement of product in the yard, based on the activity of the particular SKUs.
- Ensure mixes do not become stale dated by requesting an order from CRC to ship the slow-moving product which is approaching the sale date.
- Ensure International Container Shipments meet the customer’s ETA by coordinating activities with the International Sales Manager, the CRC Rep, the Freight Forwarders, the Steamship Lines, and the Inland Transportation Company.
- Ensure the Preventative Maintenance Program is adhered to for all mobile and fixed equipment, that repairs are made following the Standard Work Procedures and that the work is performed cost efficiently.
- Continue to monitor, expand, and develop long term relationships with the Carrier Base
- Ensure the IT department is aware of changing needs and / or problems with our communication equipment.
- Ensure Inventory accuracy by conducting semiannual and monthly cyclical counts.
- Ensure the Inventory Turns, the quantities shipped and received, and the Freight, Variable and Fixed Budgets are monitored and reported weekly. The data is charted at the end of each accounting period.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- 3 - 5 years in a manufacturing environment with supervisory experience.
- High School Diploma

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Prolonged periods of walking, sitting, standing, and lifting.
- Ability to travel over various terrains and to different locations within the Western Region.
- Occasional climbing, stooping, bending.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
