**Millwoods Christian School Society has a fantastic opportunity for a Level 2 or 3 staff to join our highly respected and sought after Early Learning Childcare Center team.**
- We are looking for a dynamic individuals with level 2 or 3 certification to join our team._

**Must have**:

- Level 2 or 3 Child Care Certification
- Child Care First Aid with CPR (issued in last 3 years)
- Successful completion of a Police and Vulnerable Sector Check within 6 months of employment start date
- A heart for children, families, and community.

**Soft Skills**:

- Punctual, flexible, and reliable.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality.
- Be a team player and work collaboratively with others

**Position Requirements**:

- 35 - 40 hours per week.
- Available to work shifts of up to 8 hours at a time between the hours of 7:00am - 5:30pm.
- Willing to work split shifts for example from 7 am to 10 am and 2 pm to 5:30 pm.
- Available to attend monthly staff meetings from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.

**Early Childhood Educator Specific Skills**
- A minimum of two years of experience working in the childcare field is required
- Provide effective supervision of children at all times
- Able to guide and redirect children in situations when conflicts arise
- Comfortable with singing Christian songs, reading and discussing Bible stories, and leading children's prayer and worship times
- Provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
- Plan and implement activities based on observations of children's interests, needs, and abilities
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
- Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
- Be flexible in working with children from 3 - 12 years old

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
