Cultivation & Production Assistant

Markham, Canada Dyma Inc. Full time

The Cultivation & Production Assistant works directly with our Operations Manager and Master Grower to assist in daily activities in Markham (Hwy 7 and McCowan). Must be available for full-time hours from Monday to Friday with availability to work weekends as required.

**Qualifications**
- Cultivation / Gardening
- Valid Heath Canada Security Clearence would be a bonus

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Participate in all aspects of plant care, cultivation, harvesting, and processing as directed by the Master Grower.
- Defoliating, pruning, topping, shaping, training, and canopy management.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail in order to recognize potential problems and optimize yield.
- Transplanting, aerating and amending medium.
- Harvesting mature plants.
- Plant trimming, drying and curing of harvested cannabis flowers.
- Facility maintenance and troubleshooting as required.
- Participate in other projects or activities as requested.
- Conduct or assist in routine environmental monitoring of the facility, including production parameters and microbiological contamination monitoring.
- Following GMP, HACCP, and Quality Assurance Standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
- Ensure outputs meet production schedules as well as safety and quality standards.
- Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment at all times.
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety.
- Closely monitor equipment for signs of problems while ensuring output is meeting set specifications.
- Communicate with quality and other personnel to resolve production and/or quality issues.

**Salary**: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- cultivation: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Health Canada Cannabis Security Clearance License (preferred)
