**About Us**

Tiny Bites Catering prepares nutritious, kid-friendly meals for daycare centres across Ottawa. We are seeking a dependable Kitchen Assistant to support kitchen operations and uphold high standards of food safety and quality.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in ingredient prep: washing, chopping, measuring
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, equipment, and surfaces
- Pack deliveries, label items, and manage inventory
- Help with kitchen setup and breakdown, including light meal assembly
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines per Ottawa Public Health
- Participate in occasional menu prep or special-event tasks
- Other tasks around the kitchen

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen or similar food-prep environment
- Valid Food Handler Certification (or must obtain before start); having a certified handler onsite at all times is a legal requirement in Ontario
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Have a reliable personal car

**How to Apply**

1. You have ≥1 year of kitchen experience

2. You hold (or will obtain) Food Handler Certification

3. You’re available for the 7 AM-3 PM, Monday-Friday shift

4. You have a reliable personal car

**Job Type**: Full‑time, permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM-2:30 PM

Pay: $17.60-$20.35 per hour
