**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medications as prescribed adhering to Cheshire Homes policies and procedures.
- Prepare healthy meals, while taking into consideration, individual preferences and dietary needs.
- Communicate effectively with individuals who are non-verbal or have communication challenges.
- Support individuals in daily living activities, including cleaning and maintaining a safe home environment.
- Accurately document individuals' progress, activities, health and incidents and report any concerns to management.
- Identify triggers and intervene respectfully to prevent or manage challenging behaviors.

**Skills**
- Experience working with individuals experiencing intellectual and physical disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety measures.
- Compassionate approach towards individuals with disabilities, demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with verbal and non-verbal individuals.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

**Bona Fide Requirements**
- Minimum availability of 12 shifts in 28 day roster, with flexibility of days, evenings and nights at various locations
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Class 5 Diver’s License
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- First Aid & CPR, TLR
- Proficient in spoken and written English

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $18.94-$22.44 per hour
