- ROLE SUMMARY
- Under the authority of the department coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for the end-user support for the staff and students of the College and all related technology related to end-user devices and software. The incumbent will grow in a diverse and challenging environment and be part of a team that values mutual support.

DUTIES

As part of his/her duties, the End-User Support Technician:

- Attends the help desk counter to receive in-person request from users
- Provides level 1 support for workstations, end-user devices and software.
- Enters in the ticket system (Octopus) all request and incident sent to the help desk.
- Installs and configures the workstations of the user (PC, All-in-one, thin client, laptop) and related peripherals (mouse, monitors, stylus, speakers, etc.)
- Maintains the image software to build workstations.
- Installs and configures cellular phones and desk phones
- Install and configures user devices like class projectors, printers, cameras and intelligent whiteboards.
- Maintains the entire IT inventory for all devices (computers, network devices, end-user devices, etc.)
- Enforces security compliance on end-user workstations.
- Maintains up-to-date documentation of internal procedures and end-user guides
- Actively participates as a team member in providing feedback from the end-user point of view on various College projects.

Performs all other related tasks when needed to help the rest of the team.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Must have a minimum of a college diploma (DEC) with an appropriate field of specialization (Computer Science Techniques, Electronics Techniques, etc.) or a diploma whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority.
- No experience required.
- Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft products such as Windows Azure and Microsoft 365.
- A good knowledge of English is essential (written, spoken and comprehension) and functional French is required.
- Knowledge of networking essentials would be considered an asset.
