**Overview**:
The HR Specialist will play a critical role in managing and executing various HR functions, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and compliance. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
**Employment Details**:
- This position requires you to come into the office every workday.
- This is a maternity coverage position on a 1-year contract.
- Potential for extension based on performance and organizational requirements.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with department managers to understand staffing needs and align recruitment efforts accordingly.
- Foster a positive workplace culture by promoting employee engagement and team-building activities.
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial labor laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to improve employee retention.
- Actively participate in the ongoing initiatives and committees and represent the HR team in the Safety Committee and Social Committee.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to support HR initiatives and improve processes.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and address employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the trucking and warehousing industry.
- Proficient in MS Office.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $41,600.00 per year
