Overview
At Birdies Eats & Drinks, our people are passionate about hospitality and food. Above all else, we just love what we do.
Our kitchen is the best place to grow your career as a chef. Whether or not you have kitchen experience, our kitchen partners are put through a rigorous training program so that you excel as a chef and a leader. Our chefs are trained through our in-house training programs and also have the opportunity to pursue their chef certification.
Essential Duties
**Key responsibilities will include**:
- Prepare and cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Accommodate special meals for individuals with dietary or health concerns
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills
- Work with specialized cooking equipment (deep fryer, etc.)
**Requirements**:
- Completion of secondary (high) school
- Minimum 2 years of commercial cooking experience
- FOODSAFE Level 1 and Serving It Right certification
