**Battlefield Equipment Rentals** (a division of Toromont Industries Ltd.), one of Canada’s premiere Construction Rental Companies, has an immediate requirement for a Preventative Maintenance Technician Level 2 at our **Sudbury location**. Our busy, team-oriented shops place a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available, as well as maintaining a flow of information on that equipment for both the rental staff and the sales staff.

**Job Type**: Full Time, Permanent

**Wage**: $22.00

**Shift**: Afternoon

**Key Responsibilities**

- Complete cleaning, washing and routine maintenance of construction equipment;
- Complete quality assurance inspections on equipment;
- Testing and operation of construction equipment, including, but not limited to, assessment of damages;
- Perform annual inspections on select rental equipment;
- Perform preventative maintenance on construction equipment, including, but not limited to, maintaining and servicing rental equipment, making minor repairs and adjustments on equipment, oil and filter changes;
- Assist and guide Level 1 Preventative Maintenance Technicians;
- Complete required documentation and data entry;
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work area, shop and branch;
- Load and unload customer rental equipment when required;
- Maintain a safe working environment;
- Assisting other technicians as needed;
- Follow all Health and Safety policies, while maintaining as safe work environment;
- Other duties as assigned.

**Key Qualifications**

- Previous experience in a related field, and knowledge of construction equipment and building products;
- A self-starter, with a keen sense of time-management and effective planning skills;
- Good communication and people skills.
- Forklift operation experience;
- Knowledge of construction equipment and mechanics;
- Technical aptitude and organization skills are preferred.
