**Job Description**:
As an operator, you may be responsible for performing the following duties for the client:
Regularly completing daily, weekly and monthly operating maintenance and work order on inspection of facilities, facility security measures, various equipment, tank & vessel water-draw-offs, tank inspections, sampling, quality tests and more to ensure integrity of the facilities, equipment and environment at the Toronto Airport Facility.
Secondary completing inspection of pipeline vault, tank, station check for any damage, leak or unexpected conditions and performed small maintenance (shoveling, weed trimming). Other duties may include interfacing with flight patrol to validate findings related to unauthorized work near pipelines, suspected leak situations as well as other basic ROW maintenance such as ROW sign fault reporting and replacement.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensures Close-out of applicable Maintenance Routes and Work Orders.
- Performs daily inspection of facilities including all vessels, sumps, tanks, piping, equipment, and verification of instrument readings “as required” (e.g., PT’s, TT’s, Level Inst. & Densitometers).
- Inspects the various facility Security Measures; including but not limited to: fencing, gates, building doors / windows security cameras and review security footage “if applicable”.
- Performs daily “as required” minor operating maintenance of rotating equipment, oily water separator and filter changes.
- Performs tank & vessel water-draw-offs and gauge tanks “as required”.
- Inspects Tank Internal Floating Roofs.
- Ensures all product quality test equipment certifications, such as those required for thermometers / hydrometers / etc., are kept current.
- Demonstrates well-developed knowledge of products being handled and associated WHMIS Information.
- Ensures compliance to client Measurement Standards and Aviation Standards.
- Takes Product Quality Confirmation Samples as requested by Product Movements Group. Note: Jet Fuel samples must be taken as per Aviation Standards.
- Treats Off-Spec Jet Fuel Batches as per direction from Products Movements Group.
- Timely Completion of “Yearly” Training Plan:
- Meets target completion dates for all individual elements identified in the yearly personal training plan.
- Ensures all mandatory Regulatory, Product Quality / Aviation Jet Fuel and “applicable” Critical Task training elements are kept up to date. This is a MUST requirement, as Employees will not be allowed to perform related work-tasks should a mandatory training element be in outstanding status.
- Performs safety walk-arounds before beginning work task.
- Demonstrates increased ability to identify / recognize abnormal facility operating conditions.
- Ensure Site Safety:
- Performs worksite walk-around inspections at assigned Facility(s) to identify potential safety concerns or hazards and initiates corrective actions.
- Identifies / reports potential safety hazards or concerns encountered during normal course of daily work and initiates corrective actions.
- Protect the Environment:
**Qualifications**:
- Education: High school Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
- Experience:
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience required or equivalent experience in Jet Fuel
- Knowledge in API 653 tank inspection
- Demonstrates increased ability to perform / comply with client Waste Disposal Guidelines and methodology.
- Demonstrates increased ability / proficiency to inspect facilities and equipment encountered during normal course of daily work activities and identify / report any potential environmental hazards or concerns.
