Welding Training Specialist

JNE is currently looking for a full time Welding Training Specialist. Part-time hours may be considered

Welding Training Specialist role is pivotal in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our welding staff,

ensuring they are equipped with the latest techniques and skills that meet our high expectations for

quality and productivity. The Welding Training Specialist is responsible for identifying training needs,

designing comprehensive training programs, and delivering engaging and effective training sessions. The

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Conducting thorough needs assessments and tailoring training programs to specific skills

required.
- Develop and update curriculum and instructional materials, facilitating both theoretical and

hands-on training sessions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.
- Deliver engaging and effective group training sessions as well as one on one coaching.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry’s latest technologies and investigate opportunities to

utilize.
- Collaborate with production leadership to identify training opportunities.
- Develop and report on KPIs that promote and enhance skills development.
- Promote safe work practices while delivering training.
- Ensure training programs are aligned with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback to trainees.
- Foster a positive learning environment and encourage professional development.

**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Minimum 10 years of work experience welding with emphasis on GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW

processes
- Experience in adult education would be an asset
- Experience in a leadership, coaching, and mentoring roles.

**Knowledge and Experience continued**:

- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive/team-oriented approach to work.
- Highly motivated and self-directed, with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent presentation skills.

**Credentials and certifications**:

- Journeyperson certificate in the welding trade.

Certifications or courses in any, or all the following would be considered an asset:

- Leadership
- Adult Education
- Communications
