A **Service Advisor** is the retail facility’s first point of contact with customers and is well versed in customer service, product offerings, inventory needs, and technician scheduling. The position requires you to advise and consult customers on vehicle service needs and to have expertise in building customer confidence in their vehicle and the dealership. The job encompasses the proper satisfaction of customer and vehicle related concerns, meeting predetermined service objectives, and the thorough and accurate performance of designated administrative activities.

Job Duties:

- Ensure that customer vehicles are adequately cared for and keep the customer updated on the progress of their repairs.
- Oversee flow of service drive lane ensuring that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service.
- Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether over the phone or in person, to assure the customers’ requests are handled.
- Take ownership of the customer’s experience by carrying out those additional assignments that allow the dealership to leave a positive impression on the customer.
- Sell the proper repairs and/or services responsive to the customer’s perceived needs.
- Properly and thoroughly write repair orders for the categories of work designated by management.
- Separate and distribute repair order copies according to department policy.
- Maintain and update all open repair orders daily.
- Provide additional vehicle problem/complaint information to the technicians as requested.
- Maintain communication with technician staff regarding job status changes.
- Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and updating customers frequently.
- Remain continuously updated on the shop’s workload to determine the type of work the technicians can quickly accommodate.
- Ensure that the daily inventory of technicians’ time is consistently sold to service customers.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.
- 1-3 years relevant service experience
- Ability to work in a team and possesses strong interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Ability to problem solve and high attention to detail.
- Loves a fast pace environment.
- Must maintain a professional appearance
- Computer skills and understanding of technology.
- Experience with CDK software.
