We are a lovely intimate size with only 50 suites, permitting time to really get to know our Residents and their families.

St Jacobs Place is now seeking an individual who is interested and available to assist with screening at our retirement home during the COVID-19 Pandemic and to be open and willing to fill in other roles within the Housekeeping, Dietary and Laundry Department’s. Availability will need to be flexible to allow for a combination of day and evening hours.

**The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to**:

- Screening by a series of questions of all persons entering or exiting the home.
- Disinfecting and sanitizing common area lounge and bathroom.
- Distributing memos and mail for the building.
- Monitor that PPE is being worn properly by all who enter and exit
- Answer internal phone calls or in-person guidance.
- Perform resident wellbeing checks and accounting for all residents based on records
- Receive items being brought into home
- Communicating reminders to resident’s residents to remind of mealtimes
- Communicate/Direct information or questions to the intended persons
- Perform housekeeping and laundry services as needed
- Serve Resident’s at mealtime and perform Dietary services as needed

**Screener Qualifications Include**:

- Previous experience working with seniors, preferably in a Retirement Home setting.
- Ability to speak, read and write in English.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written directions and to complete simple arithmetic calculations.
- Must hold computer skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office
- Ability to do extensive standing, walking, squatting, and lifting as it pertains to accepting deliveries
- Completion of a TB Test and a Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check as per the Retirement Homes Act.

Laundry 10:00am - 4:00pm/Screening 6:30am to 2:30pm, 2:30pm up to 11:00/Housekeeping 7:30am-1:30pm

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
