**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Develop and deliver appropriate sessions to the Seal Swim Squad and Development groups.
- Provide year-round training programs, using the most current and up-to-date knowledge and coaching methodology, in accordance with Seal Swimming’s program standards.
- Conduct appropriate team testing at various intervals throughout the year.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and well organized swimming pool environment.
- Ensure all internal and external program standards and pool regulations are met at all times.
- Foster a positive and enthusiastic squad environment.
- Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services.
- Participates in weekly meetings with the Aquatics Manager.
- Liaise with the Customer Experience Manager to ensure customer satisfaction and brand voice is being met.
- Provide instruction and correction in swimming technique and mentor swimmers towards understanding best practices in athletic development.
- Plan and deliver age and ability appropriate training programs under the direction of the head coach.
- Attend swim meets and other Squad activities.
- Administer swim meet entries for developmental swimmers.
- Attend coach meetings and regular staff training sessions.
- Assist with planning and implementation of home meets.
- Conduct evaluations and recommendations for swimmer progression.
- Adhere to the complaints process and respond to customer concerns in a timely manner.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- 2+ years of work experience in coaching age group swimmers.
- Post-secondary education (college/university) an asset.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent leadership, administration, organization, team building and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to establish and build relationships with swimmers and parents.
- Strong knowledge and experience using digital platforms.
- Successfully complete Seal Swimming’s proprietary Swim Teacher Pro certification or willing to complete it within a reasonable timeframe.
- Self-motivation, and an ability to work in a team environment.

**Key Qualifications**
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR certification.
- NCCP Swim Coach or equivalent.
- National Lifeguard certification is an asset.
- Must provide a Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector check current every six months.
- Current G class drivers license.

**Work Conditions**
- Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the pool for prolonged periods of time is a requirement of this position.
- Repetitive work.
- Manual dexterity required to operate telephone and computer.
- Lifting or moving up to 50lbs or greater in an emergency may be required.
