As a production cook, you will prepare and cook a wide variety of food and production. You and your coworkers will be responsible for making large quantities on soups, chili, stew, sauces ect, ordering all products and ingredients needed from our in house storage room and creating and prepping daily prep lists of ingredients and items needed from multiple restaurants.

**Required Experience & Qualifications**:

- Relevant diploma, certification or experience in large scale production
- Registration in an apprenticeship program is an asset
- ability to work under pressure at a fast pace
- ability to multitask to insure all lists are completed
- able to work well as a team
- knowledge of all cooking methods and equipment use such as roasting, stewing, braising ect. use of meat slicer, ovens, grills, ect
- FOODSAFE an asset

**Responsibilities**:

- Food preparation
- Prepare and cook individual dishes or entire meals
- Ensure sanitary cooking conditions and appropriate safe food handling
- May have to monitor or guide kitchen staff
- ordering ingredients and products daily
- making prep lists and ensuring all items are complete
