**Hyatt Place**in Downtown Monctonis looking for a **Catering** **Coordinator**to join their team
The Catering Coordinator is responsible for the planning, designing, producing, promoting, overall coordination and profitability of a catering event or meeting space. They assist with many of the tasks when needed and support the food and beverage team. This is a creative position, sometimes allowing opportunities for testing new ideas and themes.
**What you do**
- Determine parameters, policies and procedures of event planning.
- Design, program and produce events by use of communicating through Banquet Event Orders
- Conduct short
- and long-term planning for event space, catering and sales
- Recommends, develops, and implements effective marketing plans for generating meeting/catering/event revenues
- Evaluates each piece of event/catering/meeting business to ensure business can be properly serviced
- Assembles creative and innovative event/catering/meeting attractions based on internal capabilities or outsources to qualified vendors
- Trains, supervises, and works with food and beverage associates to make each event a success
- Solicits and books event and catering functions, as well as the planning, merchandising and execution of the functions
- Leads event team to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable the achievement of sales objectives
- Administers all phases of the event/catering department, including but not limited to sales, planning, marketing, servicing, and administrative procedures
- Assists employees to reflect the company service standards and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, culture, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
