Reporting to the Director & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for structural steel projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation. This role involves calculating material, labor, and time requirements, managing cost databases, and supporting project planning and budgeting. **Responsibilities**
- Maintain excellent attendance record
- Estimate and manage projects in compliance with company objectives
- Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings, specifications, Identify labour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, drawings, specifications and related documents
- Compute costs by analyzing labour, material and time requirements
- Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Present prepared estimate(s) by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
- Maintain cost database by entering and backing-up data
- Identify and assist in the facilitation of continual improvement processes in support of company goals

**Requirements/Qualifications**
- Previous estimating experience an asset
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Must have strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English clearly

We offer competitive starting wages beginning at $20.00-$23.00/hr with final rates determined by your experience, skill level, and how well you align with the role. We appreciate dedication and commitment, and we conduct thorough performance reviews after three months and annually to acknowledge outstanding work and support employee growth.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
