Founded in 1983, Bishop Hamilton Montessori School is a CCMA-accredited, not-for-profit independent school offering a Christian Montessori education to approximately 200 students in the Ottawa area.

In keeping with Montessori pedagogy, our program places the child at the centre of the learning environment and supports children’s learning, development, health and well-being through caring and responsive Montessori-trained educators who focus on active learning, exploration and inquiry.

**Join Our Team**

BHMS is currently seeking an individual to fill a summer position working with children ages 3 months to 6 years. This is daytime work, Monday to Friday.

**Qualifications**
- Experience working with children
- Positive, flexible and adaptable
- Creative, energetic and passionate about education
- Excellent interpersonal skills and English communication skills.
- Experience or training as a teacher, educational assistant or ECE specialist is an asset
- French language skills is an asset

**Job Type**: Full-time, temporary / 2 month contract

$19.00/hour

**Required**:

- Vulnerable sector check
- First aid / CPR training
- Up-to-date immunization records: Tetanus, diphtheria/Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis / Measles, Mumps and Rubella / Varicella or Chickenpox
