**Rotation**:
2 weeks in 2 weeks out

12 hours shift

Flight provided or travel paid to client’s provided charter flights from Rouyn-Noranda, Val d’Or or Montréal

**Accommodation**:
Remote site - camp setting

**Wage**:
Starting at $156,000 with OT annual wage, plus retention bonus

**Job Summary**:
The primary role of the Alimak (Mechanized) Raise Leader is to construct and maintain underground raise installations, performing various tasks such as constructing mechanized raise set ups, scaling loose rock, drilling, loading and blasting rock and ensuring that the drilling patterns follow the mining plans in safe manner.

**Pre-employment Requirements**:

- Drug test
- Medical
- Valid drivers permit
- FMTM (Formation Modulaire du Québec) or Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (Ontario)
- Permis Général d’Explosifs or able to obtain one as soon as possible

**Duties** and Responsibilities**
- Operate Mechanized Raise Climber
- Construct and maintain underground installations as face advances
- Perform tasks such as constructing MRC installations, scaling loose rock, drilling, installing rails, installing services as required, loading and blasting rock, and ensuring that the drilling patterns follow the mining plans
- Read and interpret mine plans
- Install timbering, face bolts, or to support walls and face
- Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his duties in a safe and efficient manner

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- 5 years or more experience with Alimak/Raise climber machines Ability to multi task and work effectively
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to work with a partner

**Health and Safety**:

- Following Company health and safety standards and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to Supervisor
- Practice proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment
- Work in accordance with local legislation
