The Saskatchewan Roughriders invite you to lead the cheer We are currently looking for a high energy, team-oriented Dance & Cheer Head Coach to provide outstanding entertainment to the public with the 620 CKRM Rider Cheer Team. **Major Responsibilities**: - Overseeing & ensuring full execution of the technical aspects of the team, routines, and game day performances - Acting as lead choreographer and working with the Manager, Game Entertainment & Events on music/theme selections - Selecting and managing members of the Cheer Team through leading the audition process, creating team chemistry and managing all personnel issues - Working with the Events Coordinator on maintaining a community events schedule - Assist Events Coordinator on the scheduling of Cheer Team appearances for Game Entertainment & Events department - Collaborating with the Game Entertainment & Events department to arrange Team uniforms, and lead team Calendar shoot and collect calendar payments. - Planning other annual team fundraiser components with the assistance of the Game Entertainment & Events Department. - Managing and growing the Dance & Cheer Team's presence on social media (Instagram etc.) - Miscellaneous duties as assigned **Requirements**: **Dance & Cheer Coach Requirements**: - 3 + years coaching experience in dance and either cheerleading or gymnastics - 5 + years choreography experience in dance - 8+ years' experience in dance & cheerleading - gymnastics - This role is a part-time, contract position that is primarily on weekends/evenings (game and practice schedule dependent) - stunting experience & stunt coaching is not required. - Tumbling experience and training - Coaching and teaching of various age groups - Experience in performance evaluation and judging - Team oriented focus to achieve organizational goals - Leadership abilities in staff motivation, team building and effective training techniques - Demonstrated aptitude for change and innovation in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities. - Demonstrated professionalism and maturity in responding to staff issues, complaints and assertive behavior **Please note**: - This role is a part-time, contract position that is primarily on weekends/evenings (game and practice schedule dependent) - This role does require flexibility in hours/schedule dependent on the above. **Benefits** - Wondering what to expect when working for the Riders?_ Our employees are empowered to make a difference not only in the community, but in our business operations as well.
