**Responsibilities**:
As the **Turf and Construction Equipment Sales Representative**, you will represent Huron Tractor by promoting sales of new and used equipment to existing customers and identifying potential customers in a defined sales territory. Whether you have sales experience, or are starting your career in Sales, we will provide the training to help shape your future with Huron Tractor.

This position reports to the Branch Manager and is responsible to:

- Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area
- Assess customers’ needs and recommend the appropriate products and services
- Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all saleable equipment in the dealership
- Prepare and administer sales contracts following a defined sales process
- Stay current on used equipment values for accurate trade-in evaluations
- Utilize sales/marketing software packages and maintain knowledge of financing options
- Conduct equipment demonstrations and stay current on product knowledge
- Consult with customers after sale to provide ongoing support
- Conduct equipment demonstrations and keep product knowledge current
- Maintain customer profiles and information in assigned area for sales management
- Attend applicable sales training events and seminars

**Preferred Skills and Qualifications**
- 2+ years’ experience in equipment sales is preferred
- Two years post-secondary education in marketing/agriculture or equivalent relevant work experience
- Solid understanding of the turf/construction industry would be an asset
- Ability to build excellent customer relationships
- High energy and a positive attitude are a must
- Demonstrate initiative in completing work, while being self-motivated, and organized
- Adopt a selling approach based on asking task-oriented questions, validating customer requirements, proposing solutions, offering demonstrations and moving to close
- Able to work flexible and extended hours
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Proficient computer and software skills
