**Job Summary**:
Summary of Position:Supervises and coordinates the activities of direct/indirect labor employees to maintain a high quality product at the lowest cost, delivered on time in a safe, clean environment, while maintaining good employee relations. Plans, directs and supervises the work of the operating and support personnel in one or more areas of the plant and to assure compliance with the goals and objectives of the Cobourg plant.

**Responsibilities**:
#Conforms to agree upon requirements of customers and extract the same conformance from suppliers. Maintains high product quality per specification requirements and quality standards. Acts as a resource and trouble-shooter on the manufacturing floor.##Directs and leads the operation of the assigned work flow(s) on shift, while directly supervising the assigned employees on their shift.##Completes payroll in time and attendance system.##Continually works toward reducing the cost of quality with emphasis on reducing the price of non-conformance. ##Makes work assignments to efficiently accomplish both current and future work schedules and coordinates efforts to comply with planning team direction on shop order execution, ensures operations team has accessto resources required to do their jobs efficiently.##Promotes safety of employees. Ensures that employees work in a safe manner and provides a safe work environment. Enforces plant safety rules. Maintains housekeeping standards in the work area assigned.##Trains new employees and works w/employees to maintain or enhance their work performance level. Works with employees to enhance job efficiency. Takes corrective action as necessary on employees not meeting established standards.##Fosters good employee attitudes through positive interaction with subordinates. Active listening and working as a leader in plant to resolve outstanding issues in plant.##Checks manufacturing practices against OSI, schedule routers and PM instructions to assure compliance with ISO requirements. Provides detailed shift notes to Production team on events of shift and requirements for help on items not resolved. Reports all activities against Safety, Quality, Delivery, Hit Rate and Inventory.##Owns Lean Daily Management activities for their area. Understands and manages all Board metrics by flow and how to actively countermeasure and correct misses on production targets.##Must comply with the company policies.##Complete other assignments as assigned

**RequiredSkills and Experience**

#College or University degree or equivalent is desired for this position. ##Good interpersonal skills, effective communicator and an ability to work with people at all levels##Must be a self-starter and motivated. Project and problem solving skills helpful. ##Must have 3 to 5 years prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.##Must be available to perform in a 24/7 work environment and work flexible hours.##Having work in Lean manufacturing environmentand understanding LDM process would be an asset.
