**CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER**

Work in Parry Sound on beautiful Georgian Bay for a significant General Contractor.

W.S. Morgan Construction Limited serves Ontario as a builder and general contractor of Industrial, Commercial and Institutional projects, specializing in municipal and provincial facilities/educational complexes/water and wastewater treatment plants/retirement, heath care and long term care facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Monitoring project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, safety and environment and quality control.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with project team, trade contractors, architects, consultants and our clients
- Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
- Project planning and execution.
- Familiar with project management software programs.
- Conduct site tours, safety inspections and leads by example to ensure policies, procedures and standards are adhered to.
- Ensures comprehensive project close-out.
- Manage project meetings.
- Mentor, coach and supervise and assess performance of direct reports and other team members.
- Assists in securing new work by participating in estimates, working with subcontractors and participating in proposals and presentations.
- Leads negotiation of claims and disputes with the owner and sub trades.
- Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related engineering or construction management discipline.
- Familiar with project management software programs.
- Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, problem solving and timelines.
- Knowledge of relevant construction law and building codes.
- Ability to understand and employ engineering/construction plans/specifications, methods and procedures.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Staff management and legislated certifications and training.
- A minimum of 5+ years’ construction experience.
