Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 35 stores across the country: 13 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 13 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

The Role: Reporting to the Cashier Department Head (or his/her delegate), the Cashier Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Department Head and Assistant Department Head in providing guidance, supervision and sets as a good example for Cashiers to follow.
- Major Responsibilities: Greet customers with smile, friendly enthusiasm
- Provide good customer service at Customer Service Counter, such as order and replenish gift cards, handle returned product, return bottles, sale of tobacco, answer phone call, sell lottery tickets, bus tickets and gift cards etc.
- Resolve customer complaints and maximize customer satisfaction by building rapport, providing good smile and eye contact and paying attention to them
- Lead by example by performing duties of Cashier if required
- Create good customer experience via delivering fast and accurate checkout service, prevent possible fraud (PLU # input, Scan merchandise, transaction discrepancies, identify counterfeit / fake cards)
- Provide guidance and supervision to Cashier; assist Department Head to train department staff
- Keep self-updated with all in store promotion activities so that to perform correct checkout services
- Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays
- Be prepared to stand for a long time; have a good understanding of tools & equipment relevant to the job
- Possess basic computer skills in MS Office & basic knowledge of accounting
- Able to handle paper work/report effectively and in an organized manner
- Know how to interpret labels of merchandises
- Good knowledge of payment method including cash, bank cards, and credit cards etc.; possess knowledge in selling lottery tickets, bus tickets, gift cards etc.
- Able to communicate in English and Chinese as asset (Cantonese &/or Mandarin)
- Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety
