Shifts available: Monday to Friday 9AM to 12PM and 3PM to 6PM.

**Must be physically present in Victoria, BC as this position is for immediate hiring.

**Morning and afternoon availability preferred for this posting.

Blue Sky Home Care provides support and care to clients located all around the Greater Victoria area. Our number one priority is providing excellent care and support, so we are looking for some awesome and reliable caregivers to come join our team

The care we provide to our clients is completely customizable, so your responsibilities can include the following:

- Companionship
- Groceries and Shopping
- Meal Preparation
- Help Around the House
- Transportation/Accompaniment to Appointments
- Medication Management
- Pet Assistance

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our caregivers is expected to assist in all aspects of daily living which includes and is not limited to:

- provide supervision and care
- provide personal care such as personal hygiene and dressing
- facilitate in transferring the client
- help with exercise and chores
- aid with administering medications
- accompany to medical appointments
- assess the overall well-being of the client
- cook nutritious meals for the individual
- and more, depending on the needs of the client

We require our caregivers to provide supervision and care to an elderly individual within their home for a period of 2 hours or more. While this position expects you to work individually, it also requires you to work as a team with your coworker in order to ensure that you are both up to date on the client’s condition.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Ability to fulfill the duties of the position
- Works well independently
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible schedule to cover shifts
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Organized with solid time management skills
- Valid Criminal record check (Vulnerable Sector)
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certification
- Valid WHMIS Certification (must be willing to obtain if you do not have)
- TB Screening (must be willing to obtain if you do not have one)
- Demonstrates empathy, patience, and tact

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Education: RCA / HCA Certification or equivalent work experience or schooling
- Work Experience: Minimum 1-year fieldwork
- Experience and comfortable with personal care

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
