The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and coordinates the daily warehousing activities. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for requesting the purchase of materials and ensuring on time delivery. Acting as the company representative with internal clients, suppliers, drivers and transport companies, the Warehouse Supervisor uses superior communication and time management skills.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

  • Ensure smooth operation of equipment and machinery
  • Arrange training for staff
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Provides coverage for the Warehouse Associate during absences
  • Communicates with internal and external customer inquiries
  • Establish work schedules and procedures
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Co-ordinate, assign and review work
  • Reports all accidents / incidents / hazardous conditions in a timely manner
  • Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization
  • Solves day-to-day operational issues
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work
  • Resolve work related problems
  • Train workers in duties and policies
  • Supervises the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency

**Skills and Qualifications**

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience at a supervisory level in the manufacturing sector
  • Background in warehousing and inventory management required
  • Familiar with WHMIS, Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and JHSC
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Manages time pressures well and works simultaneously on multiple projects
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Experience using Inventory Management system - preferably BC-14/Microsoft Navision (Warehouse insights)
  • Experience using RFI scanners.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the shipping and receiving department (including equipment)
  • Hands on person
  • Team player

**Job Type**

  • Full Time
  • Permanent

**Schedule**

  • 8 hours
  • Day Shift
  • Monday to Friday and occasional weekends

**Reports To**:Director Of Operations

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
