Tax Analyst/bookkeeper

**Who You Are**
- You take a detailed and disciplined approach to tax return preparation and have prepared over a hundred tax returns (you’ve got experience under your belt).

- You have strong follow-up skills and demonstrate an unparalleled diligence in managing client matters with CRA.

**A Day in the Life**

As a Tax Analyst/Bookkeeper with Sheinin & Company, you will be responsible for the following:
**Tax responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with our team of Partners and Senior Tax Associates to prepare T1, T2, T3, and T5013 returns for our clients.
- Preparation of T Slips and Summaries.
- Facilitate navigation of new Trust reporting requirements under Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
- Follow-up on Notices of Assessment, Reassessments, and other matters with the CRA.
- Maintain client files to ensure accurate and timely completion of returns and schedules, ensuring confidentiality is always upheld.
- Provide additional support to team members, as required, such as creating and maintaining client files and adhering to internal processes for database input and maintenance.

**Bookkeeping responsibilities**:

- Create comprehensive and detailed general ledgers based on information provided by our clients.
- Create financial statements based on raw data provided by clients.
- Support clients with their daily individual (personal) and corporate bookkeeping needs.
- Provide additional support to team members and clients, as required.

**What You Bring**
- 3+ years of tax experience (preparation of T1, T2, T3, and Partnership returns).
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with familiarity in a multitude of bookkeeping software, including QuickBooks.
- CPA or CGA designation (_is your designation in-progress? We want to hear from you)._
- Knowledge of and experience in tax prep software, including ProFile and iFirm.
- Highly passionate about all things taxation and bookkeeping.
- Genuine commitment to providing the best experience for our clientele.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Driven to go above and beyond to complete tasks within clients’ desired timelines.
