Position Description

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Assistant Site Supervisor's to assist in the construction of Townhouses, custom homes and wood frame condominium buildings. Reporting to the Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing leadership to the construction team to ensure orderly site activity and constructing units in accordance with approved Company schedules, budgets and quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities
- Manage site personnel and trades in an effective manner to facilitate achieving project goals
- Maintain project construction schedules on a daily, weekly, and ongoing basis and ensure they are adhered to by site personnel, trades and other suppliers
- Ensure orderly site activity and construction of units in accordance with approved company schedules, budgets and quality standards
- Run the site in a manner that is compliant with WCB regulations
- Train staff and trades, as required, to assist them in meeting performance standards
- Facilitate harmonious relationships with all site personnel and site visitors
- Assist in sourcing new trades/vendors, as required
- Has at least 5 years’ experience working on multi-family, wood frame residential construction projects
- Has expert knowledge of BC Building Codes
- Completed Grade 12 education or higher; construction related courses or certifications considered an asset
- Has proven leadership abilities including managing and supervising subordinate staff
- Communicates effectively and professionally (oral and written) with trades, vendors and company staff
- Regularly uses computer programs for project planning and scheduling, and adapts easily to new technology and software
- Is an organized, self-starter who is deadline driven and detail oriented
- Thrives in a fast paced work environment, can manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Must have valid BC class 5 drivers license with clean Abstract.
- This is a full time position requiring a committed individual to be on site to ensure all employees and Trades have the Supervision required to achieve the daily tasks.
