Our client is seeking a contracted Maintenance Worker to join a growing Property Management firm in the Niagara Region. The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for servicing properties throughout the Niagara region, responding to our resident's service needs and helping to ensure customer satisfaction. **The Offer**:
**Role**: Maintenance Worker

**Desired Start Date**:Immediately

**Hours**:Full Time (Contract), 40 hours per week

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Servicing various properties throughout the region as assigned via Building Platform
- Performing maintenance and repairs in the areas of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and general maintenance
- Communicating regularly with Property Managers, notifying immediately of any emergencies or issues
- Performing preventive maintenance and maintaining accurate records of all work completed
- Maintaining grounds to keep them clean, free of trash, debris, and other safety issues
- Performing snow removal at building entrances
- Maintaining cooperative working relationships with staff and interacting positively with tenants
- Maintaining own inventory and keeping tools in good shape
- Adhering to all health and safety standards at every site

**What You Bring**:

- A minimum of 1-year professional experience as a maintenance worker, preferably in a property management environment
- Excellent knowledge of various maintenance functions
- Knowledge of provincial, local, and federal housing laws, codes, policies, and systems regarding maintenance
- Customer-orientation; ability to achieve resolution of any customer services issues.
- Ability to build excellent relationships with prospects/tenants
- Reliability and flexibility, with the ability to work evening, weekend, and holiday hours to accommodate business needs
- Willingness and ability to learn new technology
- A valid, unrestricted G license is required to travel throughout the region
- Must possess own truck and tools

**Salary**: $23.00-$27.00 per hour

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Thorold, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
