**The opportunity**:
In this entry level position, the Technician will begin working primarily in the shop, getting exposure to a variety of work functions. After demonstrating the ability to work safely and with others in a team, additional training and responsibilities will be added. As competencies grow, participation in field jobs will be expected.

**Entry level responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Assist in general shop cleanliness and organization.
- Moving and handling material using forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Assist with yard receiving and organization.
- Empty garbage bins.

**Long term expectations may** **include, but are not limited to**:

- Thermal spray or PTAW processes on a variety of steel components.
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of major components.
- Use hand and power tools including grinders, saws, drills etc.
- Use work-handling equipment including overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Inspection of components before, during and after processing.
- Maintenance of welding, thermal spray, and work handling equipment.
- Shop and field work as necessary (travel approx. 25%).
- Occasional overtime and day and night shift as required.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic knowledge of shop tools and materials.
- Experience working “with your hands” is considered and asset.
- PTAW, thermal spray or welding experience considered an asset.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
