**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety standards, and kitchen protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
- Address any issues that arise during service promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
**Skills**
- Proficient in food preparation techniques with extensive knowledge of various cooking methods.
- Strong understanding of food handling practices and food safety regulations within the restaurant industry.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills with the capability to motivate and guide kitchen staff effectively.
- Knowledge of meal preparation processes, including portion control and presentation techniques.
- Experience in the food service industry is mandatory along with familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools.
Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week
