Reporting to the Manager of Project Portfolio and Delivery, this position provides structured project management (project integration, scope, planning, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk and procurement) to support corporate technology and Business transformation initiatives.
The Project Manager is responsible for managing project resources including and not limited to internal staff both technical and functional, business stakeholders and external vendors in alignment with the capital budget and strategic direction. Management of external vendors, negotiation of deliverables, prioritizing and goal setting, adherence to Town project reporting standards as well as control of project delivery will be a significant portion of the Project Manager duties. The focus of this position will be Technology and Transformation related initiatives.

**What can I expect to do in this role?**:
As a project manager you will engage in the following:
Project planning and initiating: Integrate all aspects of project management into a cohesive project plan and schedule. This includes business case, charter, scope, work breakdown structure, risk planning (identification, qualitative/ quantitative analysis, and response), quality, resource requirements, cost estimating, budget management activity definition and sequencing.
Directing and managing project execution: Provide project control, governance oversight, and management of the project resources in a matrix environment. Clearly state priorities and link them to deliverables. Promote team development and collaboration.
Developing, monitoring and controlling project work, plan and schedule: Control project scope, costs, quality, project team and stakeholder management, risk monitoring, vendor contract and deliverable administration, project documentation, and the impacts of changes on the project and organization.
Developing and executing project communication strategies: Develop formal documents such as project charters; business cases; report on and monitor project status; communicate risks, issues and impediments to the project; measure performance and manage organizational change as caused by the project. Create and facilitate Governance presentations with the Executive team members.
Project Close Out: Transition the project into operations, close out project operations, complete operational handovers, create lessons learned, reconcile project budget, release project staff and archive project documentation.
Vendor Management: Plan and schedule activities in collaboration with the vendor. Monitor progress on project deliverables and identify risks and issues that will impede them through weekly status meetings. Secure progress reports on vendor related deliverables. Identify and report on missed or delayed deliverables. Sign off on Financial milestones and key vendor deliverables
**How do I qualify?**:
You have an undergraduate degree or diploma from a recognized university/college. Your formal education is augmented with professional development training programs in project management and more than five years progressive experience managing complex projects. A PMP Certification or equivalent is required and you also possess an expert knowledge of PMBOK. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
