**Laundry Aide Details**:
**Location**:Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home, 577 St Anne's Road, Winnipeg, MB**

**Status: Casual, On-Call**

**Wage**:$15.52/ hour**

**Important Information: Previous laundry & housekeeping experience an asset.; two Covid-19 vaccinations required**

**Shifts available: 6:30am - 2:45pm & 7:45am - 4:00pm weekdays and weekends**

**Start Date: ASAP**

**Job Summary**:
**How you will make an impact**:
You will be responsible for performing laundry services including cleaning and distributing linens to clients.

**As a Laundry Aide, you will**:

- Properly sort, wash and dry linens following the approved laundry procedures
- Fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
- Collect soiled linens along with redistributing clean linens
- Transport supplies to include clean and soiled linen to the appropriate storage and collection areas
- Routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, identifying worn and torn linens and following Standard Operating Procedure for damaged linens
- Maintain the commercial and residential laundry rooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition

**About you**:

- Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry or equivalent combination of training and experience is an asset
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Able to operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, linen press, and clothing labeler
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team setting
- Physically able to carry out duties of the position
