**MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Responsible for the maintenance and analysis of all processes for the Ontario Case Costing (OCC) submission including the collecting, preparations, integration and reporting of financial and statistical data requirements
- Prepare financial and statistical data for loading into case costing system by performing regular audits and reasonability checks.
- Works with various departments to make data corrections and ensure processes are in place to capture accurate and timely data
- Assist the Senior Case Costing Performance Advisors in the analysis and presentation of case costing data for various levels of leadership.
- Assist Manager Decision Support & Case Costing, Supervisor Funding Performance, and Senior Case Costing Performance Advisors on various ad-hoc projects.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- University Degree in Health Informatics and/or Business working towards an accounting designation (enrolled in CPA program)
- Hospital Experience in Finance and/or Decision Support recommended
- Previous experience with Case Costing or Cost Accounting an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of Ministry of Health and Long Term Care healthcare Ministry Information Standards (OHRS/MIS and MIS certificate preferred), OCCI methodology, Funding Reform Initiatives and methodologies including QBP's and HBAM.
- Knowledge of and the ability to demonstrate use of hospital administrative datasets commonly used to inform decisions including but not limited to: MIS, DAD, NACRS, CCRS, OMHRS, Admission/Discharge/Transfer data, CCN registry and CCO Activity Level Reporting.
- Advanced computer skills specifically in the use of Excel, Power Point, SQL, Crystal Reports, Access; and experience with statistical packages such as SAS, as well as, experience with Meditech and OCCI Case Costing system is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diversified workload, multiple tasks concurrently and work within tight deadlines
- Evidence of strong technical and analytical skills, effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, leadership, judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent attendance record
- Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset
