**Job Title**: Boiler Operator / General Labourer

**Location**: G3 Terminal Vancouver

Following Safe Operations guidelines, the position is accountable to the Operations Manager for the efficient and quality operation throughout the Facility.

**KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**:

- Planning, organizing and operating various pieces of equipment to achieve an efficient quality operation that meet or exceed planned results.
- Monitor all equipment to ensure customer quality requirements are met or exceeded.
- Identify training needs to ensure skills are current with the General Labourer duties.
- Co-ordinate operations with Control Room through effective communications.
- Accountable for Safe Operation of the General Labourer duties ensuring Safe Operations Standards are adhered to. Participates in and recommends safety initiatives to improve the department.
- Ensuring that housekeeping performance standards in areas of responsibility are met or exceeded.
- Monitors operational integrity of equipment. Reports and follows-up with any maintenance requirements to Operations Manager and maintenance department.
- Completes all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintaining constructive working relations with all terminal departments and outside agencies.
- Performing other related duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Applicants must participate in all required training as set out by G3 and have a thorough understanding of the Facility. Demonstrated initiative, leadership, diplomacy and the ability to contribute to the efficient operation of a terminal elevator are essential.
- Ability to plan, organize and coach as well as oral, written and job-related computer skill are required.
- Ability to work shift work on a continuous operating schedule.
- Preference will be given to those who hold valid 4th Class or higher Power Engineers certification.
