Freeman Signature currently has a great opportunity for a position as an Ontario Multi-Unit /Key Account Account Manager.
Primary Purpose: Support of Foodservice Regional Multi-Unit and Key Accounts (existing and new) providing expert knowledge and solution based solutions specific to our client’s Foodservice products. This may include conducting product demonstrations, supporting product launches, creating promotions, and aligning financial packages that work for the account.
**Responsibilities**: (This list may not include all the duties assigned)
- Drive market penetration of assigned operator base and maintain effective lines of communication with all regional multi-unit and key accounts
- Presenting manufacturer's product lines to our customers to increase sales for the company.
- Build relationships with top accounts, key decision makers to discuss business activity and needs of customers.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual business reviews with our clients Develop and execute an aggressive plan for all existing and new products, capitalizing on customer advertising and promotional activity opportunities.
- Leverage industry/customer insights with key decision-makers to influence strategy execution.
- Develop and establish key business relationships, taking the business to the next level, and aiming at driving profitable volume growth.
- Co-ordinate all administrative functions required by Customer accounts
- Participate in customer sales meetings and trade shows as appropriate
- Identify opportunities within the market and make recommendations
- Develop and manage Key Account Programs & Initiatives
- Solicit and support new product listings
- Develop new business with Regional Chain Accounts / Key Accounts while maintaining alignment with company strategies and guidelines and by aggressively pursuing assigned list of regional prospects
- Assess trends and identify potential opportunities within the industry
- Manage agreements and contract renewals
- Completion of required administrative duties in an accurate and timely fashion
- Ensuring CRM tool is updated & maintained to standard
**Qualifications**
- University Degree (preferred) or College Diploma with a minimum of 5-10 years of food industry experience.
- Proven track record of delivering results
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish relationships.
- Understands & practices “solution selling”; willingness to develop sales strategies and motivated to learn more.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (CRM, Excel, Power Point, Word, Teams).
- Travel required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Maintain high level of professionalism and ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality.
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Previous experience calling on specific customer is an asset;
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
- Competency in multi-tasking/problem solving/troubleshooting
- Exceptionally self-disciplined and organized
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills - Self-motivated/driven, positive/high energy, excellent written and verbal communication skills, administration skills, adaptability/flexibility, dependability/attendance, appearance/grooming.
- Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally at all levels, including executive and senior level management
- Personal commitment to continuous improvement.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing with access to a vehicle is required.
