Die-cutting Operator

**ASTRAPAC.,** a rapidly growing manufacturer of folding cartons, located in Markham, ON is currently looking to add a Die-Cutting Operator to their team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform press make-readies in a timely manner
- Ensure that fastest possible production speeds are attained & maintained throughout runs
- Use the correct pressure to meet cutting, creasing & score specifications as per the approve sample
- Maintain equipment as per schedule & troubleshoot press to help reduce downtime and inefficiencies.
- Review docket & ensure that it is followed to avoid any mistakes
- Perform quality checks on every load or as specified to ensure proper registration, cutting & creasing
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety standards and perform housekeeping duties.
- Complete all information required on docket such as make-ready times, quantity produced, waste & any issues experienced as well as recommendations for future runs.
- Organize & maintain dies & underlays to allow for easy location when required.
- Work with other operators to address production issues

**Qualifications / Skills Required**:

- **Minimum 2+ years experience
- Good knowledge of the die-cutting process
- Ability to run Bobst/Brausse machines
- Ability to use advanced tooling (quick lock, counters etc.)
- Mechanical ability
- Good oral & written skills to allow for effective communication
- Ability to work in a team as well as individually
- Good organization skills
- Able to work under pressure & meet deadlines
- Responsible & Punctual

MUST HAVE DIE-CUTTING EXPERIENCE. THOSE WITHOUT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
