Houseperson

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Responsible for the deep cleaning of common and public areas of the hotels.
- Interact with guests to promote a positive image of the property.
- Provide guests with information on hotel and facilities.
- Document any mechanical problems.
- Special projects on a seasonal basis.
- Dishwashing for at least 1.5 hours
- Setting up meeting rooms

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver and pick-up guest request items when assigned;
- Maintain cleanliness of the stairwells. ;
- Responding to guest requests and inquiries;
- Assists with trash removal;
- Perform all housekeeping duties;
- Conducting light maintenance;
- Maintain the cleanliness of the corridors;
- Cleaning assigned public and housekeeping areas.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum 1 year previous cleaning and/or hotel experience required.
- Must have the ability to communicate in English.
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Can communicate well with guests.
- Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
- Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
- Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, and stand and walk public areas for extended periods of time.
- Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to understand and follow directions, and perform job functions under limited supervision.
- Must be able to work varied shift work, including weekends and holidays.AM and PM shifts.

**Salary**: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sherwood Park, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
