Landmark Homes is looking to hire a dynamic Drafting Team Lead to join our team
Job Summary
As a Design and Drafting Department member, the Multi-Family Drafting and Design Team Lead is accountable for the new development, preparation, and maintenance of architectural designs and drawings.
You would coordinate with project managers in this role to develop and construct multi-family projects. Responsibilities include design, permitting, and project administration. You will ensure the company complies with codes and guidelines.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Establish and implement short
- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, developing, planning and assigning work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees.
- Development, implementation and evaluation of drafting policies and procedures that add value.
- Oversee, develop, document, and implement continuous improvements to drafting policies and procedures.
- Manage the overall “Look” of the area with the exterior colour scheme and elevation design.
- Work with the Multi-family team to select, modify, and design models to suit Area requirements.
- Work with the Multi-family team to select, modify and design exterior elevations and colours, and provide the team with exterior renderings through Revit or Enscape similar products.
- Design and value engineer new models suitable to the marketplace and customer preferences.
- Manage job-specific drawings to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Review Architect designed plans for comment & accuracy as required
- Meet with Architectural Approval Firms to discuss model types, area layout and exterior colour schemes.
- Work with trades, suppliers, and construction personnel to develop construction requirements plans.
- Assist the Sales and Estimating department in providing an accurate set of plans for release to the field for construction
- Work with trades, suppliers, City Inspectors and construction personnel.

**Expectations**:

- Lead by example with a clear and defined vision for the department, promote a high level of performance, encourage a positive work environment and coordinate and facilitate department team building.
- Provide exceptional support to both internal and external clients.

**Qualifications**:

- Architectural or Engineering Degree or Building Technology Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution specializing in Architectural studies.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience drafting/designing experience in the residential industry.
- Exceptional solid working experience with Revit a must.
- Experience with AutoCAD Architecture is an asset.
