Program Manager
Division of Endocrinology & Centre for Healthy Active Kids
The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

**Position Description**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Program Manager to lead the Hamilton Lab clinical research team and oversee the knowledge translation initiatives within the Centre for Healthy Active Kids. This is a leadership role with broad responsibilities, including staff management and coordination of a diverse portfolio of clinical research and knowledge translation activities focused on childhood obesity and its related comorbidities.
The clinical research portfolio includes both industry-sponsored drug trials and investigator-initiated observational studies. Projects aim to explore the environmental, physiological, and psychosocial determinants of obesity risk and treatment outcomes in children and youth.
As part of the Centre for Healthy Active Kids, you will also lead a number of knowledge translation initiatives (described below).
You will report directly to Dr. Jill Hamilton (Principal Investigator, Director of the Centre for Healthy Active Kid, and Head of the Division of Endocrinology). You will collaborate with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of research and healthcare professionals who are passionate about improving outcomes for children and families affected by obesity.
**Here's What You'll Get To Do**:
**Clinical Research**:
- Collaborate with our research team, interdisciplinary clinical teams, patients and families to support and grow the obesity management clinical research and knowledge translation programs
- Manage a clinical research team of approximately 8 staff, including a project manager, coordinators, assistants, and a summer student
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and oversight to ensure project milestones, quality documentation, and professional growth are achieved
- Oversee the financial health of several cost centres in partnership with a SickKids Financial Partner, this includes budgeting, invoicing, and reporting to funders
- Coordinate with SickKids Legal and the Grants Offices on Clinical Trial Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and budget amendments
- Participate in regulatory audits and monitoring visits as needed
- Develop and track study timelines, goals, and deliverables
**Knowledge Translation Activities**:
- Manage Paediatric Project ECHO: Obesity Management, a professional development webinar series for healthcare providers and trainees. This includes annual curriculum planning, speaker and case recruitment, session co-facilitation, and collaboration with the ECHO operations team
- Oversee the Clinical Training Program at the Healthy Living Clinic by managing the budget, preparing donor reports, onboarding trainees, and aligning learning objectives
- Oversee the expansion and evaluation of the patient core curriculum program within the SickKids Healthy Living Clinic and throughout the Ontario Paediatric Bariatric Network (OPBN). This includes overseeing data collection and impact reporting.
- Support the development of the OPBN Education Hub by collaborating with relevant education staff to enhance content and implementation strategies

**Here's What You'll Need**
**Essential Requirements**:
- Graduate degree or postgraduate certificate in a relevant field (e.g., health sciences, public health, clinical research, health education) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated experience in clinical research, including study coordination, regulatory compliance, and Research Ethics Board (REB) submissions
- Proven experience managing staff, with the ability to provide mentorship, supervision, and performance management
- Experience in budget manage
