Our thriving Technology & Cyber team is looking for an Underwriter, Technology & Cyber Intermediate who possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen required to contribute to the growth of the Technology & Cyber department in Toronto. Your unique blend of skills and abilities include being professionally focused, articulate and have the ability to influence others.

**What you’re responsible for**:

- Conducting analysis to determine risk on new business, renewals and endorsements
- Contacting external resources as required for additional information pertaining to the risk.
- Making recommendations for or against coverage based on the risk rating.
- Negotiating coverage and rates with clients, referring business exceeding authority level to the appropriate level.
- Participating actively with Western Region brokers in terms of promoting products, developing and maintaining positive relationships and business development.
**What to expect**:

- Detail oriented work that requires a high degree of mental concentration for extended periods of time.
- You may provide support to clients who are experiencing a personal or financial loss. A high degree of confidentiality and discretion is required.
- You will travel occasionally within the Western Region. (Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary)

**To join our team**:

- 1-5 years Underwriting experience; preference given to experience with Insurance exposure more specifically to the Technology & Cyber area.
- Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or FCIP preferred or current enrollment.
- Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) preferred or current enrollment.
- The ability to travel within Canada
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
