About Sonnen Hill:
Sonnen Hill started making beer in 2018 and is a small team of passionate individuals who work very hard to produce the quality products that we do. We aim to make easy-drinking beer and like to focus on the following styles: clean hoppy beer, lager beer, saison, fruit beers, and spontaneous beer. The brewery is located on a 37-acre farm in Caledon, Ontario and includes an on-site Taproom, Bottle Shop, and Beer Garden.
Assistant brewer responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

- Cellar work (tank and parts cleaning, beer checks, yeast management, etc.)
- Packaging (canning, bottling, kegging, cleaning kegs)
- Working wth raw materials
- Customer service (serving in the taproom, representing Sonnen Hill at events, etc.)
- Lab work (cell counts, plating, quality control and assurance, etc.)

Qualifications:

- Good understanding of the brewing process
- Smart Serve certification
- Must be available to work a rotating schedule that will include morning, evening, and weekend shifts

- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Desire to learn and take on various responsibilities over time
- Good customer service skills
- Excellent communicator
- High attention to detail, proactive, motivated and professional
- Able to work flexible and long hours
- Able to carry heavy objects (25-40kg) (kegs and bags of malt)

Assets:

- Production experience at a brewery or other beverage manufacturer
- Customer service experience

Details:

- $22-24 per hour
