The Physiological Laboratory Technician I - Respiratory position provides pulmonary function testing to outpatient clinics including but not limited to Pre
- and Post-Transplant Clinics, Cystic Fibrosis Clinic, Interstitial Lung Disease Clinic, Asthma Clinic, Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic, Pre-Operative Clinics, Hematology Clinics, and the Neuromuscular Clinics. This position also provides services to Inpatients at the University of Alberta Hospital and the Stollery Children's Hospital.

Description:
As a Physiological Laboratory Technician I you are an integral part of the Pulmonary Function team, responsible for collection, analysis, and interpretation of Hemodynamic and Radiographic data from Cardiac Catheterization procedures in a multidisciplinary team environment. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program. Active or eligible for registration with Canadian Association of Cardiopulmonary Technologists (CACPT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Previous pulmonary function testing experience. Connect Care experience. Must be able to lift and carry 10-15kg regularly. Must be able to participate in hands on care of patients (i.e.: transfers, bariatric clients, bending, twisting, walking distances).
