**Job Position: Gas Fitter (Full
- time or Part-time)**

We are looking for Gas Technicians to join our growing team at **GHC Heating and Air Conditioning** Our company provides services from many trades, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing. We are hoping to find more individuals to join the gas division of the company. As a Gas Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing gas appliances and equipment such as boilers, furnaces, fireplaces, water heaters and air conditioners (if certified).

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical systems and uses precision when working on machinery.
- Diagnose problems with equipment and HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot by taking apart and reassemble to effectively repair the problem.
- Prevent system issues for the customer by performing regular inspections.
- Inspect gas leak situations and perform appropriate actions to repair issues.
- Install natural gas and propane HVAC systems and appliances that comply with building codes and safety regulations.
- Report accurate information on timesheets and records.
- Communicate well to provide strong customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Adapt to new technology and equipment in the gas industry.
- Knowledge of gas detection systems, codes, and regulations.
- Understand electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal (in English required).
- Able to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- Flexible with working evenings, weekends, on-call, and overtime when needed.
- Punctual for scheduled shifts and follows proper procedures when unable to attend.
- Perform pressure tests when required and use the appropriate equipment.
- Able to read and interpret manuals and diagrams as required.
- Capable of working in confined spaces, for example crawl spaces and attics.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- G2 or G1 License
- Minimum of two years’ experience as Gas Technician
- Valid driver’s license
- Criminal Reference Check
- Driver’s abstract
- clean and provided by applicant.

**Job Type**:

- Full-time
- Part-time

**Salary and Benefits**:

- $28.00-$35.00 hourly
- Potential to qualify for benefits program after a probationary period.

**Assets**:

- 5-10 years’ experience
- Air conditioning license
- Training experience (mentoring apprentices)
- Sales experience (this would be further explored if applicable)
- Bilingual
- Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
