Channel Control Merchants (CCM) is a diversified secondary market products company that has been in business for over 25 years in the US. The Canadian division is a new and rapidly expanding company with lots of growth and opportunity. The main responsibilities of a "Line Loader" entails: - Some tools a Line Loader might use on a day-to-day basis are pump cart, safety knife, gaylords (cardboard boxes, about 3 feet high). - To start the shift a line loader would either locate where the new stock is to bring to the front of the line using a pump cart or sometimes the forklift operators would bring the skids of product straight to the front of the line to be loader by the Line Loaders. - Picking up the product from the line, team lifting if the item is too heavy or awkward, and placing it on the conveyor belt so the Processors located down the line can grab the items corresponding to their categories. - If an item is too big, it is placed on a separate pallet and once that pallet is full it is moved via pump cart to the ‘Big Lifts’ area where it is manually processed by a Processor on the Big Lifts team. - Line Loaders also deal with putting away cardboard and garbage as well as stacking skids when they are not in use. - At the end of the shift, cleaning the work area by sweeping and ridding the area of any debris is conducted This position is permanent, full-time. Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm - Benefits after 3 months Must be reliable and punctual Physically fit to lift up to 20-50 lbs Ability to work in a fast-pace environment Must have CSA approved steel-toed boots/shoes Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English Forklift certification and standard First Aid CPR are optional Able to perform repetitive actions and stand for long periods of time Must be able to work efficiently in a team environment or independently **Salary**: $18.79 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Dental care - Disability insurance - Extended health care - Life insurance - Store discount Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday **Experience**: - Warehouse: 1 year (preferred) - General Labour: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person
