**JOB DESCRIPTION - CASHIER/ SERVER**

**Description of Position**

We are searching for an engaging, courteous Cashier/Server who is passionate about food and beverage preparation and education. The Cashier/Server will greet customers, answer their questions, take orders and accept payments, and prepare and serve food and drinks. You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation.

To succeed as a Cashier/Server, you should be committed to providing customers with excellent service. You should be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite.

**Key Activities and Responsibilities**
- Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments.
- Preparing brewed coffee and tea and serving items to customers.
- Packaging food and beverages for sale.
- Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
- Learning about food preparation and presentation techniques to improve food quality.
- Updating signage and displays to attract customers.
- Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter.
- Working in as part of a fun, high-energy team.
- Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.

- Cashier/Barista/Cook experience in a commercial setting is a strong asset

**JOB DESCRIPTION - CASHIER/ SERVER**
- Ability to work a POS system

**Physical Requirements**
- Constant standing/walking
- Occasional stooping, kneeling or crawling
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50lbs
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders
- Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine
- Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around work area
- Constant reception of detailed instructions through oral communication
- Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
- Occasional Distinguishing, with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Additional pay:

- Tips

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Barrie, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
